About

Hi. I'm Jules and I have adult ADHD (Inattentive type). ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a real diagnosis. Under its umbrella (not an actual umbrella-heehee) there are variations within the spectrum:

  • ADHD - Hyperactive
  • ADHD - Inattentive (previously referred as ADD but everything is now under one spectrum).
  • ADHD - Combined

I wanted to create this blog in hopes that it helps to raise awareness regarding the topic by sharing my own experiences, tips, and helpful information to make this blog resourceful as much as possible. I hope sharing my experiences would help those with ADHD and those that know someone who has it or if you suspect that either you or someone else might have it.

*If you do suspect that you or your child may have it, it is always best to consult either a physician or psychiatrist for a proper diagnosis.

What I am going to share will be based on my own opinion and research that I have done. As I've mentioned above, I have ADHD Inattentive. I have a parent who was diagnosed with ADHD, a sibling with it, my spouse has it and both of my children have it. I have known friends who have it as well. So, I am quite familiar with living with it myself and being a parent raising kids with it.

My aim and my purpose is to reach out to those of you who have been diagnosed with ADHD or have gone through life and were lost under the radar, never been diagnosed with it, and other parents. I want you to know that you are not alone, that nothing is wrong with you or your child. We are all precious in this life and those with ADHD are not any less precious -- they are talented and come with many strengths. I want this blog to be a place of comfort as well as sound of mind where if you don't realize already, I want you to know that you are you and what you bring into this world is meaningful. I hope to redefine the meaning behind ADHD in a positive light.

Too many of us have fallen under a misconception and our self-image and confidence weakens as a byproduct whether if one was diagnosed or not. I want to reassure others that you have many strengths and ADHD is not a weakness. If you truly understand it, you actually have a high potential of achieving the things you want in life.  And if you are a parent of a child with ADHD, you can understand how to guide your child toward a happy and successful life. Care about who you are and love who you are. Self-rejection only leads to depression. When we are happy doing what we're meant to do, we have super focus and great potential and motivation.

I truly hope that you find this kind of encouragement with what I want to share. And that you can have the courage and confidence to believe in yourself and live happy. That is ultimately what I hope for by creating this blog. I want you to be inspired!
